So week four of A Theme A Week is body… inspired by an image of a bodyprint left on a sheet from fake tan!

I had hoped to take prints of different parts of my body but haven’t had much time by myself to do that. I have also been mulling over words to describe my body and it’s roles..

My Body

pleasure palace,
blow up doll,
pillow for sleeping infants, pets and partners.

holder of grief,
keeper of secrets
incubator and feeding station

my canvas, armour and facade

prodded, sliced, decorated
scarred, honoured, rejected

wobbly in places
firm and strong in others

my vehicle

steadfast, trustworthy and deserving
